I don't know what his contract status is. But he is certainly unhappy
in Utah, and is going through a terrible year. This guy is very
athletic, plays defense. I am wondering if we can get him.
Funny you mentioned him, I just thought the same thing this weekend. He's
the kind of player that is realistic for the Lakers to try to get for
pennies on the dollar. High risk, high potential reward. Could be another
Kwame disappointment. Could be another Sheed surprise. the guy has a ton
of talent and maybe just needs a change of scenery. When the Lakers are in
the position they're in, they probably should be looking to roll the dice
like this a few times.
The only way I'd want to go after him is if he could be had relatively
cheaply, i.e. Utah wanting to just be rid of him and be willing to take some
projects/problems of the Lakers for cap relief. Cook, Sasha, Rad (as if)...
