kobe benefited from those 2 seasons too.
First one he was in High school
so you saying kobe's actual % should be lowered too?
OK
Kobe had 130 3 pt attempts that season to Jordan's 557 over 2 years.
The next season when the line went back
MJs attempts dropped from 297 to 126 while Kobe's went up from 130 to 220 when the line was moved
back to the original distance
And when they moved the line back Jordan's 3 pt % went from 43% and 38% those two seasons to 24%
the next year while Kobe's 3 point % was 37% his rookie year and dropped a lot less to 34% the next
season.
it's MUCH EASIER to get AND-ONES if you take it to the hoop, kobe
takes waaayyy too many outside shots so he doesn't get as many
AND-ONES as the dominant big men or Jordan (who was actually a very
very good post player in his youth)
Kobe like Jordan has developed his jump shot and range over time. Jordan was not driving so much 11
years into his career either. And Kobe takes a lot of FTs even now as he draws fouls on a lot of
jump shots.
So this year Kobe has an effective FGP of just over 50% and takes more FTs than anyone except Wade.
Per 100 FG attempts he produces only 4 less points than Shaq and his 58% FGs.
