I know I'm taking this a bit out of context, but I think the former is
not quite as easy as the latter. One might counter, "Don't believe in
murder? Don't kill anyone." There's a reason why abortion is a tough
nut to crack, ideologically speaking.
The point I was trying to make is I don't believe morality should be
legislated as long as there isn't a detrimental impact on others. I
know the anti-abortionists say that the fetus is killed so there is
harm being done to someone else, but IMO until a baby is born it is up
to the parent(s) to decide whether the pregnancy should be terminated.
Murder is a crime & has been recognized as such for most of history.
Abortion is still being debated &, again IMO, falls more into the
"faith-based" purview rather than legal ruling. Again, just my
opinion, I could be wrong.
BTW, I'm just as disgusted that Mars felt the need to pull their ad as
I am that some whackos are now complaining that Prince's performance
in front of the sheet was intentionally "phallic" in nature. Don't
these people have anything to do? : )
