"Jordan scored in double figures in 866 consecutive games, and Kareem
had
streaks of 787 and 508 games. "
I believe Kareem's streak of 787 is regular season only.
Unfortunately, he had a 6-pt game vs. Philly in the Finals one year.
Otherwise, his streak would be longer. Was it 508 prior to that 6-pt
game? Heh.
Does Jordon's include playoffs? I believe so because #788 was gm 7 vs.
Indiana.
All of the streaks were regular-season only.
The one thing that sticks out in my mind is that Shaq has played a good
portion of his career in a League that's Center depleted. Not that it's
his fault. But it is a fact. Had he played in the 70's and the 80's his
numbers would probably still be considerable but not as high. Shaq is a
valuable basketball commodity because of his size & ablility, yes, but
also because of the lack of legitimate centers in the league.
