Now I know this isn't really bozak, 'cause:
Where's the Big O?
my problem with O is probably that i saw him mostly at the end
of his career and he just seemed really slow... from what i saw on
film earlier in his career he was really strong... but i dont think that
he would be quick enough to deal with players like magic, west, jordan,
or bernard king...
Where's the Doctor?
the most overrated player of all time, please...
Kevin McHale over George Gervin?????????
i have bird, magic, king, jordan, mcadoo, and wilkins who all can
play the hell out of the three... gervin was great offensively, but he was
almost as bad as he was good on the defensive end of the court...
I know he's short and not a great offensive player, but where the heck
is Bill Russell?
bill russell in this era would be a smidge better than dennis rodman...
bill russell could not play center against any guy on my squad...
back in the day wilt use to go for 50 and 25 on him on the regular...
russell played with a core of really good players, but no superstars
(which isnt bad and obviously was great for him - but if we are talking
about picking any superstar you want in a draft - no need for a guy the
same size as rodman with just a lil more game than him offensively)...
Bernard King over Elgin??? Smush Parker's a better defensive player
than King.
if you are talking about post leg blowout you are correct... but before
bernard king blew his knee out he was on his way to becoming the
best player in the game... even after blowing out his knee he still
made the all-star team on just offensive effort alone... the guy could
shoot the rock like nobodies business... bernard king during the
golden age of the nba (mid eighties) was killing everybody until
he tore his knee up... think back to the bernark king era knicks,
do you remember anybody else on that team other than bernard
king... the year the lakers won their third championship in the
eighties he lead the league in scoring doing it in the east (which
was the tougher conference at the time)... you must have not ever
really seen king play... had he been on a team like the lakers,
sixers, or celtics, he might have been talked about like magic
and bird were back then...
remember i am talking about all of these players in their prime...
Put the pipe down. . .
says the guy who is willing to put up elgin baylor at the three against
bird, mcadoo, or wilkins... there are only two players in the sixties that
imo are obviously good enough to be selected as a GOAT type players...
Chamberlain and West...
