Re: Line up

Kwame. He fit this position better than PF

Yes. He is a center, not a forward. He needs a lot of work in the
offseason.

PF-Mihm. He does have a 15 foot jumpshot

I read that they were working out Mihm on the wing in order to play
with Kwame.
He has the skills (good jump shot, face the basket type player) but I
don't think he has the foot speed / quickness to be a 4 that operates
outside.

SF-Odom. Our versatile swinger

If Odom continues his play from the All Star break then he is a top 10
NBA player. He disappeared in Game 7 but then so did all the other
Lakers. But Odom has been playing the 4 for us with Walton the 3 since
Walton was inserted into the starting lineup. Unless there is a trade,
I expect he will continue that next season.

SG- Kobe. Um, not sure what he can do.

Continue to play as he did against the Suns. The Suns forced him to
involved the other Lakers by double/triple teams and instead of trying
to fight thru that got everyone involved.

PG-Smush. Would be better as a backup.

I think Smush will be better next year. This was his first full NBA
season and it showed. He also didn't handle the pressure of the
playoffs well. He really needs to do what Payton said he'd do (before
being traded to Boston) - practice 2000 jump shots every day to become
a deadly spot up shooter.

C-Bynum. Shows potential

Like Kwame, he needs a lot of work.

PF-Ronny. Our energy guy

Ronny is great (a great Cupcake draft pick IMHO). He needs to learn to
control himself a bit more and not foul quite as much.

SF-Walton. He passes very well.

Waltons big weakness is his jump shot otherwise he is pretty solid all
around. He needs to join Smush on those 2K jump shot drills.

SG-Do we have a decent backup SG anymore

Profit will be back I think but it is a weakness for the Lakers. Mckie
is also slated to return but it is unlikely that he has anything left
in the tank.

PG-Sasha

I think Sasha has improved every year so far. Hopefully that will
continue next season.

Offseason:
I think the Lakers picked up Cooks option and he will be back next
season.

I expect that Mihm will be packaged and traded. The Lakers don't need
3 centers on the roster and I doubt they will be able to find takers
for Kwame and they won't trade Bynum (unless KG is really available) so
I expect Mihm will be moved.
