OK the team is playing great. They played great defense. Kobe is
distributing and making everyone better. Kobe don't have to jack up 40
shots a game in order to win. Smush is playing great (OK, really
well). Brown is playing really well. Odom is finally playing like he
can.
But we are only up 2-1. Phoenix is great match up for the Lakers. We
have made great progress in the last 1/3 of the season. It gives us
great hope going into next season. Don't be too disappointed if we
don't go pass the second round, or even don't go pass Phoenix.
All I am saying is, temper the enthusiasm. We are not likely to go to
the finals this year. If we get one or two players next year, we'll go
really far.
I have to disagree.
I'm incredibly enthusiastic about this team. I think they have the Suns
figured out and will win this series in 5 or 6.
After that, Denver or the Clips should be a cakewalk compared to Pheonix.
Denver is a nice matchup but looks like that won't happen. The Clits are
more problematic with their big advantage up front, that is somethign we
have a hard time dealing with. That series would be a real tossup.
