OK seriously...not trolling George =)...
I did not see the other games and the box scores very looked good for him.
But this game if I was the coach brown would have been parked on the bench if
I had a choice. I have not watched the whole game but I saw one stretch where
he had a couple of good plays, including a block on parker he did not get
credit for and caused a couple of tough shots for duncan.... the rest of about
8 plays he tried and failed to post up Duncan twice for jump hocks, missed a
layup, let Parker blow by him on a switch, did not rotate to stop Parker a
couple more times and he went in uncontested and untouched, did not block out
for some rebounds, and rotated off Tim to double Ginobili leaving tim standing
all alone for a 15 foot jumper.... While the announcers mostly said how good
he looked...
Either I am missing something or watched the wrong part of the game...but if
this is 'very good' someone has lowered the bar...
You were watching the wrong part. I was in the nose bleed section looking
straight down on the court it seemed. I saw two Parker drives on one of
which Cook had his back to the play until after the ball went through. If
Kwame switches of Duncan, what good is that? Phil did seat him in the third
and Duncan scored his *only* two baskets within 15 feet, one with extra
point. People started calling for Kwame and Phil put him back in.
I'll tell you what I noticed. Kwame is one impressive physical specimen, and
I mean when in motion. He has a gigantic stance. When he seals, it's
zip-lock, baby. He can own the lane. This guy has what it takes, except for
his hands, but some of that is still nerves.
