After all these years, I think I finally get it

Well, for years now I have been wondering why certain decisions are made and scratching my head when they were.
What I have come to realize is this...I have been watching in excess of 120 Yankee games every year since 1961. I have listened to sooo much commentary over the years from soooo many announcers, experts, players etc that actually I have come to realize that although I do not and have never worked in the game professionally, my opinion does mean something.
That said, what I am seeing this year is amazing to me. Ever since the fiasco of the Joe Torre situation at the end of last season (WHAT a travesty), to the selection of Joe Girardi to take his place, to the decision to put Moehler on assignment thus allowing for the possibility of only Jose Molina to be the only catcher on the roster. WHAT is going on here?
Fact is, Posada has been a question mark since the start of the season. HOW on earth do they get into a situation in which they may not even have claim to Moehler anymore until he clears waivers? HOW did they allow this to happen?? Geez, maybe Girardi wants to put on a glove!
Even more importantly, what Mr. Cashman and the Steinbrenners need to understand is that they have one of the worst pitching staffs in all of baseball. A great game against Cleveland not withstanding, Wang is no better than a second or third man in the rotation at best. He is NOT the stopper that the team needs or that it thinks it has, especially with the rest of the staff being what it is. What they immeditely need to do is bring Joba Chamberlain into the rotation and get Mussina OUT of it. If I were in charge, I would flip their roles, making Mussina the setup man for Mariano. One of the biggest crimes being perpetuted by Yankee management this year is the way it is totally wasting Joba's career right now. This man is capable of BEING their number one starter and they are using him as a setup man in the bullpen!
In all these years, I have never really wanted changes to be made as much as I do now. The team seems to have lost its management ability. Girardi really is an inexperienced guy who has some bizarre things (like starting Brian Bruny one night because he thought the game might be called due to rain)...you can't be serious Joe...in April you do that???
Fact is, Girardi needs to be gone before the season is done. Cashman needs to be gone already and someone who actually knows baseball should be brought in to replace him. Finally, the Steinbrenners need to learn how to be more decisive. It seems they are being walked over by Cashman.
While you're at it guys, why not give up the idiotic idea of carrying both Cabrera, AND Damon, and get some pitching for one of them? And WHEN are you going to realize that Shelley Duncan is just not a major leaguer?
Advice? Put together a package including Cabrera, Alberto Gonzalez (where exactly do you think he is going to fit in during the next 7 or 8 years), and Ian Kennedy for a bonafide major league starter and utility guy. Until you get a reliable starter you have no chance of a winning season guys.
Take it from someone who has been watching and learning for 47 years!
