Re: *** the self-pitying Red Sox cocksuckers (was Re: The Mets)

At least the Pholdies can lay claim to having one of the most over-rated
3B in history on their team.

Wes Helms? :)

The Phillies would have been better off being down a game with two to play;
they play the underdog role well, and the Mets want no part of being the
favorites. Once the standings flipped, the Phillies weren't sure what to
do, and the Mets decided to treat Chris Seddon like...well, Chris Seddon.

And I haven't watched many Mets' games this year, but what is the point of
Kevin Burkhardt sitting on the sidelines, offering the most inane commentary
during the game? Just about everything he comes up with, Keith Hernadez
shoots down as drivel. And Gary Cohen's Michael Kay impersonation is just
terrible. Every play is huge...Moises Alou limping in on every routine
flyball and making a diving catch is considered inspiring play. Like
Michael Kay, Cohen actually was good on the radio. I had to listen to him
back when I worked in an office with a Mets' fan during afternoon games, and
it was a good listen. TV does things to these guys, I guess.

Ron & Keith are fun to listen to, though.
