Yeah, JD Drew & Julio Lugo have played well up to their potential.
Now they get Gagne and maybe Dye. And we've done very
little. Far cry from the days we were so active at trade deadline and
picked up superstars. They will likely go all the way to the WS, while
the Yankees sit home and watch.
The market for right-handed relievers this year is insane. I don't
give up a package for Eric Gagne, and I am not sure why the Red Sox
really wanted him, to be honest.
I think the only reason the Sox went after Gagne was to keep him from the
Yankees. If the Yankees could shore up their weak pen, They could make a
run.
