Torre has become absolutely pitiful where young players are concerned.
He's always been a pitiful tactician. I can't imagine a bat off the
bench like Duncan being sent down and that damm never was Cairo
staying on the roster.
I agree Betemit is a significant upgrade.
10 homers in about 180 Plate Appearances. .360 OBP and an .835 OPS.
Has played 2nd, 3rd, RF and maybe 1B? Has he played SS? Born in '80
that should make him 27.
