"It's an unwritten rule!" Says who? I've never heard anyone say,
"It's an unwritten rule in baseball to not yell at the infielder on a
popup!"

I have never even said that I believe what A-Rod did was great - I
probably wouldn't do something like that, personally. But it isn't
against any written or so-called unwritten rule that I ever heard of.
If baseball wants to put an "A-Rod Rule" in its book for next year,
fine - would love to see an ump try to enforce it.
