Stub Hub is definitely worse of the two. Now, if you brought in
TicketMiser, then Stub-Hub is neck and neck.
Seriously though, how can Stub-Hub allow people to sell tickets at
500% above face value?
Why not? All they are doing is creating a market where buyers and sellers
meet.
If they want to be a real service, they could
set it up that you get face value + 10%.
And why should I sell my ticket for $1.10 when someone is willing to pay
me $5.00? It's called a free market.
But since they take a nice %
as a fee, they feel compelled to allow the gouging to continue.
If you bought some stock at $100/share and today it closed at $500/share,
should your stock broker force you to sell it to me for $110/share?
I don't believe those stocks have laws governing how much you can sell them
for. There are scalping laws for events for a reason.
Those who scalp for BIG money are scumbags, plain and simple.
