Re: I Don't get it either

All this ARod bashing.

ARod was on Martha Stewart talking about his book. There were a lot of
little leaguers in the audience and ARod answered many questions that the
kids had.
He was asked which team was the best he ever was on.
He said The Yankees by far. He talked about how professional the
organization was and he felt at home in NY.

They asked which position he would rather play SS or 3B. He very candidly
answered 3B. He said the team already had a HOF SS so because he wanted to
be a Yankee so badly he consented to play 3B. He said there is more action
at SS and he liked that.
He also said his goal is to win a Gold Glove at 3B as he did at SS

Here is a guy who loves the Yankees but is subject to many MEDIA MADE
controversies. Many times he is taken out of context and is made to sound
like an ass.

He consistently puts up great numbers and leads the team each year in some
important categories.

Yet, media and Yankee fans alike he can never do enough to please us.

I can't help but wonder how good he could really be if we all got off his
back (but that will never happen)

I wish the media would just dry up and blow away - in ALL its forms. It is the single most destructive device on the planet when it seeks to sensationalize, which is nearly always, and I don't care which network you cite, they're all the same.

AROD is a class act. In this day and age of American Idol meanness and reality TV voyeurism - where people crave to ridicule the lame rather than aspire to be like the heroic, is it any wonder these jealous types would seek to take AROD down off the pedestal he's earned?
