I'm very happy for Tony, Peyton, the Colts and the Colts fans but not
surprised. BUTTT!!!! Not only did I bet the Colts but I had a bit of money
on the over which missed by one point. By not kicking that final FG from
the 17 or so yd line with about 1:15 to go it also cost me $6K for the final
square in a squares pool. Not kicking that FG cost me about $6500 tonight.
The bright sides, I did win the game, I did win the third qtr square and the
guy who won the $6k just lost his job on Friday, has three kids and a wife
who doesn't work. He needed it a lot more than me. Who says the NFL isn't
fixed...
A lot of scenarios people are not happy about tonight - Vinatieri
missing a field goal. The botched
extra point. And, as you said, the field goal try that wasn't.
(Though that was a smart move).
I know that if I ever got "9" and "7" in a box pool, I wouldn't be
very happy. The 9 is very hard to arrive
at....:)
