Mariners' plane evacuated because of fire on baggage belt

NEW YORK (AP) -- The Seattle Mariners' plane was evacuated as it was
preparing to take off from Toronto on Sunday night because of a fire
on the conveyer belt used to load baggage.
The team was pulled off the plane for about 20-30 minutes before
re-boarding and flying to New York without any further trouble,
manager Mike Hargrove said Monday.
