Well, anyone who would jump to that conclusion because I consider
Jack's commentary to be bigoted is welcome to think whatever they want
from me. He blurted a series of non-sequiturs, anecdotes and
half-truths as if they were factual evidence of real societal or
political issues.
Show me.
..Then he explained to me that "some people" want to
give US states to Mexico. That's not an expression of a serious
opinion on the complicated iossues related to immigration, nor an
opening for a dialogue worthy of a reasoned response. Rather, as I
said, its someone coughing up reheated ideas which have their roots in
political efforts to use race as a tool to obtain or maintain power.
Show me just once where I mentioned race. I've only talked about illegal
immigrants from the beginning. Your the one who keeps bringing this up.
Like I said previously, go on the attack and keep saying something enough
then people start to believe it's true. Your a spin doctor.
BTW, there are people calling for us to give states back to Mexico, you
watch the new or read the paper. One guy is the mayor of a California city.
BTW, your damned right it's about maintaing power. We turn over the power
to the invadors, then we've turned over our country. They've done such a
fine job in Mexico why not let them try their hand in our government?
For the record, I made clear that Jack might not be a bigot, he might
just be too dumb to know otherwise. That still seems quite possible,
particularly in light of the brilliant "They're giving away New
Mexico!" rebuttal.
Once again, I never said this. I said there were people who are suggesting
we give back several states, and this is true. And, your back to your name
calling and personal attacks. You have not provided one thoughtful or
truthful statement that actually pertains to illegal immegration. i.e., why
are you for it?
Most people who are against illegal
immigration feel that way not because of racism or bigotry, but
because of the severe negative economic impact in terms of health,
education, and welfare costs which far outweigh any benefits derived
from cheap lettuce.
I'm against illegal immigration. That doesn't mean I have to support
or condone Jack's comments. Nor does it mean I have to support
half-baked legislation which doesn't do anything to address the real
issues associated with immigration merely because some politician
attaches racial or nationalistic rhetoric to it as a political means to
get his own personal issues advanced for himself or his constituency,
in order to keep his job and political power. That's the beauty of
democracy.
Once again, your making *** up. Go back and read my post. I made it very
clear with my original post that illegal immigrants were causing problems
with our schools, taxes, hospitals, infastructure, etc. Look it up. You
went of a rave from there and you've been called to the carpet because all
you've done is make personal attacks. Even now you continue. And exactly
how am I advancing my own persoanal issues? I have no constituencys or
political power. And I'm not too worried about losing my job to an illegal
immigrant. Talk about spewing. Your just throwing *** out there with no
rhyme or reason.
But then again, that's the beauty of democracy. BTW, you ever consider
running for office? You would make a good politician. Talk a bunch of ***
and say nothing.
Worse, many illegal Mexicans do not feel any
allegiance to America - their loyalty remains with Mexico.
That might be true. I don't know it to be true. I doubt you do.
Either way, I'm not sure what it has to do with the issue, apart from
denigrating Mexicans working in the US.
Watch the interviews! Watch the news. They were flying Mexican flags until
they were told to stop. Does this look like people who want to be American
to you? Or does this look like pople who want to bring Mexico to America?
If you look at the problems in France recently due to their large,
unassimilated Muslim population, you can see that in order to maintain
our American culture and way of life - it is important that immigrants
come here legally, and because they want to, and that they will
embrace America in its entirety - not just for the paycheck which they
send back to Mexico.
I'm not sure what you mean by "maintain our American culture and way of
life", but there's a fair chance its not what I view as my American
culture and way of life. I'm happy to have you, Jack and Bill Frist
maintain your "American culture and way of life" if you leave mine
alone. Deal?
Yes it's a deal! You live your life the way you want and I'll live mine the
way I want. Oh wait a minute. That's the American way.
