Good for her. Kids need at least one parent who is paying
attention to their needs. It's not like he couldn't afford it.

You're right, he can afford it and I hope he gives his daughter all the
money she needs to be set for life and I hope she is well adjusted in her
mother's sole care. I just don't see why the mother should quit her job
while her daughter is in high school seven hours a day. That doesn't seem
like a very good example to be setting.

Well the mother had gotten married and had a son. Obviously Randy
must've been annoyed that he might've been subsidizing her time with
someone else's child. I mean this is when cs issues get murky. You'd
hope that both parents try to think about the well-being of the child
first, but that's rarely the case in my experience. We really don't
know what happened recently for RJ to be that petty (appearance-wise)
but for him to do this is just idiotic. Not only will this cost him
more money in the longrun (from what I've heard from friends who had
litigated cs disputes in CA he got off very lightly in 1997) and bad
publicity, what does this do for his daughter? It's bad enough that
she had minimal contact with him, but now she has to deal with
reporters who wanted her side of the story not to mention kids in
school. Obviously I don't know the full story, but to me $80k isn't
worth putting my child through that sort of hassle no matter how angry
I am toward my ex.
