Hey Wisk,

Just to let you know, Slat probably thinks it probably wasn't a bad
idea to use stern hand with African-American servicemen (I knew two
infantry junior officers who decided to immediately ask for a transfer
back to Vietnam after being stationed at Ft Hood after their tour
around your time) as they are a race of "toddlers" and "primitives."
(His choice words) He might get annoyed with the fact that white
servicemen were treated that shabbily though.
