Yankee Stadium beyond a shadow of a doubt is the greatest sports venue
of the modern era. Besides the mutlitude of World Series games and
notable ones at that, there have been NFL title contests, and Boxing
matches of championship class.
3 perfect games were pitched there, the First NFL game ever played into
sudden death ended on that field. Ray Robinson fought Joey Maxim for
what was then an unprecedented World Boxing Title. The list goes on.
What a heck of a run that place has had.
