As of version 8.5, Opera is free. If you have not updated, you might
want to give the browser a try --- it is certainly a couple of steps
up from IE. Now I've not used foxfire, so I can't compare it there.

Although I've used Opera a long time, I never thought to try the
newsreader (I've used agent for some time). Now I will. thanks for the
tip.
