I'm especially worried about the players who have special no-trade
clauses prohibiting them from going to NY...exactly what Giles had in
his last contract. Why do you think he would have that? Maybe he
knows that he can't play in pressure situations day in and day out.
Sure, this guy does well while playing in front of 5,000 in Pittsburgh
or on the West Coast, but how will he respond playing 161 Game 7s?
Think about why he had a special clause put into his contract so he
couldn't get traded to a New York team. If he was scared of the
possibility of being dealt to NY when he signed his last contract, what
makes you think he would be any different today? Hmm....
