In managing the team and the owner, and in managing the roster and game
situations. Torre does thinbgs I don't agree with, but he's nowhere
near as bad as many of the managers in MLB, particularly the veteran
managers who keep getting recycled, or the typical Steinbrenner
puppets. I can much more easily see the next guy being a complete
disaster than I can imagine someone who's better at the job than Torre
has been.
