Hang in there Met fans. Our worst days our behind us.Probably not.
The Mets are not snake bit (unlucky), they are inept, undisciplined
and uninspired.
Unlucky teams have rain arrive at the wrong time, they do not drop
routine fly balls to lose several games in 1/2 season.
They have unfortunate injuries like Cora's, not a sore arm pitching
staff coming out of spring training unprepared.
Unlucky teams have their line drives always caught and the other teams
bloopers are doubles, not .350 hitters who never come up with clutch
hits.
Disciplined players score from first on a dropped routines pop up to
2nd base (Texieiera).
Undiciplined players stand and gape as their little popup is dropped
then they get thrown out at 1st. (Fernandez)
