Getting picked off second with David Wright up and two on is
inexcusable. With Reyes' speed he could start taking his lead when the
ball has clearly left the pitchers hand and still score on a single.
Until a manager has the guts to sit his sorry ass down, pulling him out
of a game in front of everyone, this young man will not change.
At that, he might not have the necessities to improve anyway since most
HS players are smart enough to not get picked off second in this type of
situation. But enough of the quiet, thoughtful words of encouragement.

That play was worthy of a rose award - or maybe a "doze" award. Brutal.

I agree. Reyes has gotten by with his immense talent. He has not
learned much about the game over the past few seasons. I don't mind
his looking happy or having fun, however, there is nothing funny about
losing and disappointing Met fans. He would not try so hard to please
the fans if he played in a town that was not the media circus that New
York is.
Dosing off, take plays off, not concentrating is trying hard to please
the fans? Oh please.....
