I'm pretty sure WFAN just missed the ENTIRE top half of the 8th inning
while they were in a commercial break. They came back from the break,
Howie Rose announced the Dodgers were done 1-2-3 in the top of the 8th,
and they went right to another break.
The mid-inning commercials are also out of control. It detracts from the
enjoyment of the game and makes the announcers concentrate on something
OTHER than the action on the field. The Yankees radio broadcasts have
been doing it for a number of years but this year is the first time I've
noticed it during Mets games outside of the already extremely annoying
"GEICO 15th batter of the game" stuff.
Is there no limit to what these greedy fuckheads will do to squeeze every
last drop of "revenue stream" out of the stone? I assume this is WFAN's
doing.
I'm under no delusion that boycotts accomplish anything, but having said
that, I still vote with my wallet and there are a bunch of companies on my
shitlist now that weren't there before the season began.
Are you sure you're not a shortstop?
