And a point here is, if you want to start then produce, if not then
you'll be benched and humbled. Starting is an earned privilege not an
assumed right.
The thing I got from the Post article was that Willie was told to play
the best guys and don't worry about who is getting paid what.
All that's fine but isn't the conclusion then that prior to this
meeting Willie was told (or acted as if) it was necessary to play the
guys who make the most, regardless of how they are performing.
Is that the proper mindset for a manager? I'd say not.
Now it's coming out that Delgado will be miffed if he starts finding
himself being platoon. HELLO!!! It's been two years. If you're a
capable hitter then start hitting - at least against the righties.
Your salary may be awesome but your stats say that you're cooked.
