WOW did he say it best on PTI yesterday. Sir Charles said, "I'd love to
see him break all the records this year, win all the awards, then tell

Even sweeter if he goes to Boston
And wherever he goes, he'll want to play SS.
Let's see if ARod will still have a "heart for the Mets" like he said
he has in the past.
However, SS might be an issue. No way is Reyes moving again
(hopefully), but Wright has already publicly said he will move to 2B
if ARod is taking over at 3B. Then again, Mike Cameron also said he
will gladly move to LF if the Mets signed Beltran to play CF, however,
when the Mets actually landed Beltran Cameron decided that he didn't
really meant what he said and caused a little stir... :)
Regardless, Mets brass probably will not stomach the thought of paying
someone $25 million or possibly more anyway. Maybe 7 years ago when
ARod is still pretty much at a young age, but probably not now.
Was Wright speaking as a young ball player eager to possibly work with
A-Rod for the sake of gaining experience? Or was he thinking about
what
would be in the best interest of the club?
I don't believe that A-Rod would ever have the spirit of a Met. He
certainly
doesn't have the spirit of a YANK at all. Which is one of the reasons
why
I've turned my back on the team. And when I speak of a YANK, I'm
talking
about the team as it was a long, long time ago. IMO
