I disagree.....the problem is, they really don't know their history
because
no pun intended, it has been white washed over the last 35 years.

They don't know the essence of the N word and no way is it a term
of endearment even if they say it as such.

It is ignorance....and they perpetuate self-hate.  Anyone who makes
it up and out of the "hood" by getting an education all of a sudden
is seen as a traitor having gone "white" instead of being seen
successful.

Well, obviously a descriptive term made up by another race with a long
history of involvement in the abuse and exploitation of one's own race,
_should_ be used by that race as a term of endearment, shouldn't it? It
makes perfect sense...

Unfortunately yes. : (

I see. So if I were to start calling my white friends, oh, I dunno, "cracker", or "honky" or "judenrat", or how about "ofay", that's a neglected old classic, it would be seen as a term of endearment, and perhaps just kind of stupid, all things considered, _unless used by someone of another group_, and then when I got into a knife fight with them, or busted a few caps in his ass, it would be the other guy's fault for provoking me with a term so incredibly offensive. Because they're on the outside looking in through a dirty window, and I neither want nor need their help.

All right, I get it now.
