Because A) the Mets appear not to selectively approve and disapprove of the wasting of milions of taxpayer dollars, unlike some teams, and B) also unlike some teams, the Mets do not attempt to equate being a Met fan with patriotism, approval the direction the country is taking, approval for the current junta, etc.
