Re: DIRECTV Question

Do you have the Extra Innings package on DirecTV? Because if you do, then
you should have no problem watching the Mets every day except Saturday
afternoon. The games will be on a channel in the 730s or 740s. The games
will always be blacked out on SNY channel 625 if you live outside the NY
market. The onyl legit way to get out-of-market games is to order the Extra
Innings package.

The games on SNY, YES and all of the FSNs around the country if you get the
sports package that has all of them, are always supposed to be blacked out.
As a Mets fan in Louisiana you should NEVER see a game on channel 625. You
have to get the Extra Innings package and watch them on Channels 730-750 or
so (which may pick up the SNY feed or may pick up the opponent's feed).

Hi gang,

Native Long Islander now living in Louisiana...
Many times I've set my DVD recorder for the Mets games
on SNY only to later discover that it was blacked out
outside the NY area because the opposing team aired it as well.
I'd also like to be able to see the replays
which are also blacked out outside the NY area...

I do not understand your problem. If you are registered in LA your
only access to SNY should be when the season package is carrying the SNY
feed. Assuming that at least one of the teams is being carried on
regional cable network and it is not during the Fox Saturday window you
should get the game.

no, it doesn't work that way.

Here's the Big question! If i give DIRECTV a New York address
and change the the zip codes in all my receivers,
will they give me the New York feed?
I've seen thissuggested here last year but I don't remember
the results. Any help would be appreciated.

When you call the 800 number they will see that you are not calling
from the NY area. Try having a friend in the NY area who has three way
calling place the call and hen let you do the talking. Of course you
will also need a local address for your bill.

I have a phone that blocks the sending number, and
I already have an address to give them...
