Is not a good hitter and never will be. His on base % will never be goo
enough. He is, I'm afraid , a # 8 hitter.
Last year I saw Reyes pop-up (short OF or IF) 4 times in a game.
Pop-ups probably over 200 times in one season.
Other times he tried being "selective" by taking dead strikes then
swinging at garbage.
Now it looks like a bit of maturity (confidence?) of late, working the
count and getting walks and better pitches to hit.
He keeps this up the key number (OBP) will go up.
Work the count Jose, and hit line drive and down!
