I think you're in the minority view on this one.
Most things I've read and my own opinion is that once again Omar has
received less than he gave up. (Other examples include the Seo deal
and the Cameron deal).

Yes, Benson makes a pretty penny but so do almost all veteran major
league starters who can give you over 175 IP and an ERA in the 4
ballpark.

Julio has been described as someone who has gone from a closer to
"just another reliever". Even Omar conceded that he has "command
issues."

My fear is that by midseason when one or two Mets starters find their
way onto the DL we'll all be missing the days when we had a deep
starting staff.
