You know, it's amazing how it's always the organization with
Mientkiewicz. The Twins when they traded him to Boston, to make room for
Morneau (so much so that, apparently, it is believed he and Gardenhire are
on the outs). The Red Sox, when they had the "audacity" to only use him as
a defensive replacement, simply because he had a .603 OPS with them. And,
now, with the Mets, he compiles a .729 OPS (much better than his second half
with Boston in 2004, but terrible, nonetheless), misses a ton of time with
injuries, and Mike Jacobs comes up and starts knocking the cover off the
ball, but the Mets are clueless to sit him on the bench?

Geez. Talk about somebody who needs to learn a little about
accountability.
