This link should immediately open your default news client -- possibly
Outlook Express -- and download the active newsgroup list. While the server
is read-only, message retention is a reasonable thirty days.... or currently
3044 message for alt.sports.baseball.ny-mets. And as Phil suggested, you
could always sign up through Google Groups to post messages.
