Yes I can. Dunn has already proven that he can be a dangerous power hitter
who takes walk at the ML lever while Jacobs is just trying to make it in his
rookie season. There is nothing in Jacobs career (including the minors) that
says he can be better than Dunn:
Minor League Careers:
Avg Obp Slg Ab Hr Bb So G
Dunn .304 .425 .525 1208 63 230 270 343
Jacobs .279 .335 .439 1623 44 134 380 450
Best minor league season:
Avg Obp Slg Ab Hr Bb So
Dunn 01-AAA .329 .441 .676 210 20 38 51
Dunn 01-AA .343 .449 .664 140 12 22 31
Jacobs 03-AA .329 .376 .548 407 17 28 87
The numbers speak for itself.

No kidding.

Before Wright and Reyes (who are untouchable), please tell us all those All
Star Starters or All Star Position players the Mets have developed over the
past 10 years? Heck we will have to go back to the 80s to find the last time
the Mets develop a group of All Star players.

That's you. I don't want to see the Tampa Bay Mets playing at Shea.

I'm pretty sure you feel Jacobs will develop into the same kind of hitter
Diaz will develop (career: .320/.420/.550).So basically the Mets will have
the Cooperstown brothers playing together?

Dunn is worth a lot more than that. Oh wait, Ruben just doesn't want to give
up the 28 year old Seo or the 26 year old Heilman or the 24 year old Jacobs
for the 25 year old Dunn, who is already a ML Star.
We have a winner.

OK Ruben, whatever you say.
