Kaz is a very sensitive player and has a lot of expectations to live
up to, most importantly the way he is viewed back home in Japan.
Players like Hidekei Matsui and Ichiro are heroes. Kaz is an
embarrasment. That has to weigh on his shoulders.

I wonder if his performance would have been significantly better if
the fans would have been a little more patient. It's a very tough
adjustment to make, coming from Japan to a big market team.
