Well, to be fair, three of the rookies(and possibly four) have evil
stuff and should be great pitchers in the furute.
Joe Blanton for the A's and E. Astacio on the Astros are going to be
great pitchers with their nasty stuff. Astacio especially if he can
cut down on the walks. Wandy Rodriguez isn't going to be a strikeout
pitcher but damn if he doesn't know how to get people out. Tejada on
the Phillies has good stuff and could be a part of their rotation for
many years to come, but the Mets got to him when they had a second
look at him.
When Clemens retires, the Astros rotation is still going to be very
dangerous.
Someone had posted that the Mets scouting department sucks. Well, they
should've definitely watched those four pitchers. I just think they
looked at records and ERA and thought, oh these guys are no good.
They're good.
