I agree with both of you. Getting Manny and Baeyz (sic) and giving up
the farm (literally), will tie our hands in terms of salary and chips.
This will be our team for years. No decent first baseman. No decent
catcher. A starter or two short. And a dominant starter who can win us a
series short.

I just don't get it. I sure hope this trade is being pushed by Tampa Bay
hoping to get cheap good players and the Sox hoping to avoid being stuck
with an aging player who will be a 5-10 next year.

This don't make sense for our team -- not in the long haul.
