As interesting as that article is . . . apparently I and most of
baseball disagrees with you.
Here are the top 10 this year in pitches/game start.
Livan Hernandez - 117.1
Barry Zito - 108.7
Mark Beuhrle - 106.9
Aaron Harang - 106.6
Carlos Zambrano - 106.5
John Lackey - 106.2
Noah Lowry - 105.7
Jason Schmidt - 105.7
Cris Carpenter - 105.1
Freddy Garcia - 104.9
So if 120 is no big deal . . . why aren't more pitchers doing it
regularly? Why is there only ONE pitcher in baseball who even averages
110?
