Globe article today. Jon Lester admits to beer drinking in clubhouse
and the fried chicken eating. Although he plays it down,This verifies
part of the recent Globe expose which some folks here in particular
McDuck poo pooed,

Lester admitted to drinking one beer late in games, contraryto the
Globe story of heavy drinking. He said ordering chicken was once a
month --- that is, trivial. He said the pitchers were working out in
the weigh room all the time and were is great shape. He said they did
not play video games during ball games and did watch the game,
presumably on TV. He said most pitchers gain weight during the season.

In brief, if you believe Lester, you conclude that much of the stuff
about the players in the Globe article was wrong or grossly
exaggerated. In brief, Lester was more negative aboute Globe
article than I was. And, like me, he was critical of the Globe for
using anonymous sources.

Lester's "one beer" explanation is akin to "Officer I omly had one
drink"
.
