Second thoughts about Lowrie as the 'everday' SS?
In the team's first 21 games he pretty much split time with Scutaro.
During that stretch he hit .431 with 7 EBH (3 HRs) in 51 AB. He K'd
only once every 9.2 PA and pretty much forced his way into the lineup.
Since then he has hit .245 with 8 EBH (0 HR) in 106 AB. He's K'd once
every 4.6 PA.
It might be that neither Scutaro or Lowrie are full time
players....just in case anyone was considering trading Marco.

Or...Jed could just be in a slump.
You really thought he was a .430 hitter?
No, what I think is that he is (maybe) one of many players whose value
lessens when they play everyday.
Seriously...I think Navarro's injury impacts the odds of Scutaro being moved
more than this. But I ask you...how much better do you figure Scutaro is
over Sutton? Haven't seen much of him yet...but the difference doesn't seem
appreciable to me. If there were real value to be got for Marco, might be
worth the risk.
You may be right about Navarro but Scutaro is the only one of the four
that is a proven major league SS defensively. It would be risky to
have a rookie SS backing Lowrie (a player with some injury history)
Lowrie has limited range and needs to have strong offensive numbers to
offset that.
Sutton is not adequate as a middle infielder....barely passable as
corner guy.
