We already have the best 1st baseman in all baseball.

Moving Youk to 3rd and his defensive talents will be diminished.  It
would be like playing ARod at 3rd instead of Shortstop.

well, i didn't advocate going after a 1st baseman, but i'll play
along. right now, the market for available 3rd basemen seems to be
beltre, and a bunch of guys who are a big step down. even via trade,
it doesn't seem that the so can adequately replace beltre. so moving
youk to 3b and getting a stud 1st baseman is one possible solution.
