Never mind NESN...what happened with the MLB broadcast they had
scheduled today on the MLB network? I set it to record while I
was busy today and was going to check it on delay on the DVR,
only to find some "classic" game in it's place.
Was the game on MLB Network blacked out? I wasn't home so I set my
DVR but when I went to watch it, it said it was blacked out in my
area and
it dvr'd nothing. Don't understand a blackout when NESN is not
showing it.
Don't know. All I know is the Globe didn't have it listed but
Comcast did on the channel guide and I set it to record.
It was listed on my DirecTV grid: MLB at 1pm. I adjusted my life to
watch, and at 1pm my screen went black and a crawl announcing the
"black-out". I am in far northern NH (TV considers us in the Maine
ADI, darnit). No other channel I can get was carrying this. I am
not likely to drive down to Florida. What were they protecting?
This certainly doesn't make me want to watch stuff on MLB. Or is the
blackout governed by someone else, not MLB?
Inquiring minds want to know...

It's a good question. MLB.TV has blackouts of home games during the
regular season but advertises that there aren't any spring training
blackouts. Don't understand why ML Network's telecast was blacked out
when NESN was doing the game.
NESN was NOT televising the game. That's why I was pissed. The Bruins game
was on NESN.
Oh. Did you leave out the word "not"?
My sister tells me that there was a mixup. MLB blacked out b/c they
thought NESN was covering the game.
It ran on MLB here in Michigan. Neat game. Casey Kelly looked v. good,
as did that guy that pitched last year in Japan. As did Boof (he
looked great, actually). Buch not so good.
I think the O's will be pretty darn good this year if the young
pitching hold up, which I think it will.
