SB/2 would mean introducing a non-integer coefficient of 0.50.
that might be fine.
but then i might want to adjust the 1,2,3,4 coefficients for the hits.

again - i can get a better fit by going multiple regression, but i
want the back-of-the-envelop-ability. SB/2 would still be back-of-the-
envelop.
