More gibberish. More silly quacking. What a fanboy you are. Just "exploded"? All through the season? He even managed to alienate most teammates THIS time. He "just" exploded on the travelling secretary...a 60+ year old guy. He SLAPPED Youkilis...IN THE DUGOUT! He called out his owner...the guy who writes the checks...not the GM or LL...but John Henry himself. These were not isolated things. There was a clear pattern. The guy shot himself out of town as clearly as any player I have ever witnessed do just that. This was not simply one day he had had enough. He KNEW (and here is where I think people like you underestimate his intelligence) this would eventually have to make them find a way...at considerable cost I would remind you BTW...to let him out of his contract. What was the worst that would have happened to poor Manny? He would have been set free...to negotiate with anyone at the end of the season. He could have done what many disgruntled players do every year. Just play the games baby. That should NOT have been such a big deal. But NOOOO...Manny would make them pay NOW. He would show them!
What continues to piss ME off...is the fact that I truly believe that...just like A-Rod...he will eventually come out smelling like a rose. Worse than that...I suspect he will end up in NY. Able to exact even greater revenge. Mark my words. Manny will win this battle you seem to think he has already lost. If the Red Sox land Tex, do you really believe for one solitary minute that Steinbrenner, the Next Generation, will NOT snap up Manny?
