I know the prevailing feelings about Tek. We have to remember there
organization. Isquite a cost to acquiring his replacement from outside the
Masterson orsomeone like Teagarden or Saltalamacchia really worth Buccholz,
or 4Bowden? I just wish they could get Tek to accept either a reasonable 3
andyear deal at around the same salary or a shorter incentive based deal
productivesee if this past season was an aberration. I still think he has
bringseasons ahead. I would also seek to further reduce his workload and
thealong someone like Brown to break into the league and start learning
pitchers and hitters. Cash is no long term solution IMHO.
I cannot begin to fathom that the Sox would ever trade one of the top
pitching prospects in all of baseball for a backup catcher. It
boggles the mind.
Or sign Tek to a 3 or 4 year deal. I'd say 2 years tops as a phase-in
period with an eye toward getting someone else to start.

OK. So we're back to replacing him now. Because it's seriously doubtful he
will sign a short term deal. I think someone will give him more than 2
years. So. Who will you get?
