I'm disappointed that you even responded to that racist piece of garbage.
Where IS that guy who was arguing that we should ignore racism and it will
go away?

If racism were truly no longer an issue this election would be a romp for
the Democrats.

The Obama people had a billboard visible from one of our Michigan
highways that recently was defaced with spray-painted racial slurs and
Nazi insignia. Not known who did it.

But we do have certain people in our country who remain racist and
vote against the Democrats. Smaller number, fortunately. Senator
Obama, despite his accomplishments and obvious intelligence, could not
have been a serious candidate even 20 years ago, due to racism.

What accomplishments? He's done NOTHING! Accomplished NOTHING
but proven that he's a good and charismatic speaker, which liberals confuse
for intelligence. BTW, I an NOT per se saying that Obama is unintelligent.
However, it's very clear to me that you libs are a bunch of unrepentant
bigots when it comes to how people speak. If you sound like you come
from the northeast, you must be intelligent. But if you come from the
South or from Texas, you must be an idiot. I suppose that Gov. Ann
Richards (D-Tx) must have been an idiot by your standards, cuz she didn't
have that sound of intelligence that only comes from attending Hahvahd.

I liked Ann Richards and did not like her getting smeared by you know
who. You amaze me --- you make up a story about Liberals hating people
with accents and then criticize them for it. You should criticize
yourself for indulging silly stereotypes.

Of course, Obama did not grow up in the NE and his only time there, as
far as I recall, was 2 years in NYC when he went to Columbia, and 3
years at Harvard Law School, where he was president of the Harvard Law
Review (which is not NOTHING). Growing up, he lived in Indonesia and
Hawaii, and worked in Illinois. In Illinois, he was a v. succussful
community organizer and State senator, and has been a US Senator for
the past 4 years. He also was a successful constitutional law teacher
for 10 years. Nonsensical to say he has accomplished NOTHING.

And, back to your language point, Obama certainly does not sound like
he came from the NW --- you must have a tin ear to think that or have
never heard him speak.

When I graduated from HLS, there were a fair number of southerners in
my class, some I was friendly with. I was one of a relative few in my
class who actually grew up in Massachusetts. Harvard has a v. national
student body. I'd guess NY is the single most important source of
students, but still not anything close to a dominant position. Lots
from California, etc. Had close friends from Nebraska, Sherman Oaks,
CA and Lorain, Ohio.

You make up all this bigoted stuff and then call others bigots.
Amazing.
