Well, that does clarify matters --- in your view, people who want the
government to help the sick are assholes. What to say? I do hope you
can get your political champion to do a 2 minute ad with that message.

Charities should help. If you get sick it is not my obligation to take
money out of my pocket to help pay your bill. American's are already
the most generous country in donating. I donate to charities. If the
local, state and federal governments would leave us with more money,
we would donate more. No doubt many charities help those with
unaffordable medical problems. Most Americans would like to give more
if they could keep more, but it should be voluntary, not an obligation.
